Herbal Bliss Balls

Who doesn't love a good plant powered snack?

You guys know I love to bring plant medicine into the every day with simple, nourishing ways.  These little balls of goodness are super easy and versatile to create. I purposefully made the 'bliss batter' subtly sweet and plain in order to allow the interesting and beautiful flavors come through with the collage of herbal powders. I highly encourage you to let the creatives juices flow with this recipe!

Recipe:
Yeilds approximately 20 1" Bliss Balls

Bliss Batter:

  • 1 cup of pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup ground flax
  • 3 cups oat flakes
  • 2 tb chia seeds
  • 1 cup of water
In a high speed blender or food processor, combine above ingredients and blend until its smooth. The batter should be soft and sticky. Place in the fridge and allow the demulcent action of the flax and chia take place, for about 5-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare your herbal toppings on a small plate. With this recipe, I made 3 different flavors.

1.Rose Petal Powder, Cacao, Bee Pollen, Chaga Mushroom (aphrodisiac, antioxidant lovin')

2.. Matcha, Ginger, Lotus Pollen and Cornflower (calming, zen, chill vibes)

3. Turmeric, Ginger + Cinnamon (anti-inflammatory, warming, digestive goodness)

With a teaspoon, grab a small amount of chilled batter and roll into the palm of your hand to form. Then dip into each of your powders until the ball has been painted with the herbs. Once you have all your bliss balls made, place in the refrigerator or enjoy right away!
That's it folks, super easy herbal morsels last in the fridge for up to 5 days (but youll probably eat them before then anyway!

XO,
